Marie Osmond’s life has been filled with many turns, but her most miraculous love story is with her first husband, a relationship that unexpectedly returned to her and brought her lasting happiness.

The iconic singer, known for the timeless hit “Paper Roses,” first married Steve Craig, a former basketball player, in 1982 when she was 22. They soon welcomed their son, Stephen James Craig. However, the pressures of her bustling career and fame ultimately led to their divorce in 1985. Marie went on to marry and divorce a second time in 2007, thinking her chance at lasting love was gone.

Then came a true miracle. With the help of their son, Marie and Steve reconnected and discovered that their love had never truly faded. In 2011, they remarried in a touching ceremony at the Las Vegas Mormon Temple, with Marie wearing the very same wedding dress she had worn nearly 30 years before. “I never thought I’d marry again,” Marie confessed. “But we found each other again, and this time, it’s deeper, more peaceful, and full of appreciation.”

She credits the success of their second marriage to maturity, mutual respect, and, most importantly, laughter. “We love doing the simplest things together—watching Netflix, eating popcorn, or just talking,” she shared, adding, “He’s my best friend.” Marie believes their time apart allowed them to grow as individuals and appreciate each other more deeply.

Now, though she continues to perform and work in entertainment, Marie says her greatest joy comes from being a grandmother and spending time with her family. “Health and family—that’s what matters most,” she said. “And I truly feel blessed.”

Their story is a beautiful testament to forgiveness, second chances, and the enduring power of the heart. It proves that true happiness can appear when you least expect it, as long as your heart remains open to love.
