Introduction

About The Song

Otis Blackwell and Winfield Scott wrote (Such An) Easy Question for Elvis in early 1962. He recorded the song on March 18, 1962, at RCA’s Nashville Studios.

Three years later, (Such An) Easy Question was released as a single after its inclusion in the film Tickle Me. The song had an eight-week stay on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, peaking at #11. On the Easy Listening chart, (Such An) Easy Question replaced Horst Jankowski’s A Walk In The Black Forest as the number one song in July 1965. After two weeks at number one, it was replaced by Gary Lewis and the Playboys’ hit Save Your Heart For Me. (Such An) Easy Question spent a total of seven weeks on the chart.
