In 2012, Strait announced that he would retire from touring. He played his final show at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on June 7, 2014. The show was sold out, and more than 100,000 fans attended.

Despite retiring from touring, Strait has continued to release music. He has released a few albums since retiring, including “Cold Beer Conversation” and “Honky Tonk Time Machine.” He has also toured a few sporadic shows.
